Description The Global Risk & Intelligence Services (GRIS) team is looking for a Technical Program Manager who can independently own and deliver complex, cross-functional projects that enable our GRIS Analysts/Investigators to work more effectively. In this role, you will help design, implement, and maintain technologies that help the team scale to meet the expanding needs of its customer base. You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day maintenance of existing systems, collect requirements and feedback, identify defects, pull data, and analyze trends for continuous improvement. You will also help drive new ideas and initiatives for the team. This is a high-ownership role. You will be expected to identify gaps, propose solutions, and execute with little to no supervision - making the entire GRIS team more effective through the programs you deliver. Key job responsibilities Own program delivery start to finish - Lead technical programs from scoping through launch, managing dependencies across engineering, data, and security teams. Spot risks early, resolve blockers, and make tradeoffs to keep programs on track. Work independently - Initiate and lead projects with minimal direction. Identify opportunities, define scope, get the right people on board, and deliver results. Dive deep into data - Work with structured and unstructured datasets to inform program decisions. Partner with data engineers and analysts to define data pipelines, validate outputs, and ensure data quality across platforms. Manage AWS and Salesforce integrations - Drive technical programs involving AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, QuickSight, SageMaker) and Salesforce (custom objects, APIs, automation). Understand architectural tradeoffs and communicate effectively with engineering teams. Work with geospatial tools - Partner with teams to integrate ESRI/ArcGIS capabilities into operational workflows. Translate geospatial requirements into technical specifications and program deliverables. Earn trust with customers - Build strong relationships with GRIS Analysts/Investigators and leadership. Understand their pain points, communicate program status transparently, and deliver solutions that genuinely improve their workflows. Stay organized across multiple projects - Keep clear priorities across a portfolio of projects. Use project management tools (Asana, or equivalent) to track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Communicate clearly - Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program status, risks, and impact. Write clear documents (narratives, PRFAQs, design docs) that help teams make decisions. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 3+ years of technical product or program management experience - 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications - Experience with ESRI/ArcGIS products (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, or related geospatial solutions) - Experience with data modeling, SQL, and working with large-scale datasets - Experience in security, intelligence, risk management, or investigations domains - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (Asana) - Strong written communication skills - ability to write papers, narratives, and technical specifications - Experience with Python, SQL, or scripting for automation and data analysis Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. About the Company

A

Amazon

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
