About the job

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You"re equally comfortable explaining your team"s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As our Logistics and data center footprint expands exponentially, we face the critical challenge of strategically planning our warehouse network and space to stay ahead of demand. This is not just a logistics role; it"s a strategic planning opportunity at the heart of our growth engine.

In this pivotal role, you will be the architect of our physical supply chain backbone. You will develop the blueprint that dictates how we scale our warehousing capabilities for the next decade, ensuring that our infrastructure can be deployed anywhere in the world with speed, efficiency, and precision. This role is central to building the foundation for our future.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google"s product portfolio possible. We"re proud to be our engineers" engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Develop, manage, and improve the predictive models used to forecast long-range requirements for warehouse space, and network capacity, translating complex inputs into actionable plans.
  • Establish and lead the recurring planning and review cadence with cross-functional partners (finance, IT, operations), communicating assumptions, risks, and strategic recommendations to achieve consensus and secure approval at executive leadership level for network roadmap.
  • Author compelling business cases, rooted in forecast data and ROI analysis, to secure critical infrastructure investments and support the annual and quarterly budgeting cycles. Define, monitor, and report on KPIs for network health, NPV assessments.
