A problem isnt truly solved until its solved for all. Thats why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, youll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Youll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You"re equally comfortable explaining your team"s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Data Center Incidents and Availability (DCIA) team is dedicated to maximizing uptime across Google"s global infrastructure by identifying and proactively preventing risks before incidents occur. The team focuses on developing global standardized programs that empower operational personnel to reduce the impact of infrastructure events and delivers high-quality postmortems to minimize the chance of incident recurrence.
This role supports third-party facilities that operate on non-Google designs. This would involve building a global framework to validate operational excellence and compliance across hundreds of vendor sites, aiming to bridge the gap between third-party operations and Googles rigorous standards. The work focuses on shortening the time to repair and enhancing the human response to infrastructure failures, such as power or cooling system issues. By executing advanced drills across various environments, the DCIA team fosters a culture of critical self-assessment and ensures global operational readiness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
