Description Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Join us as we build the data and science backbone for Leo's entire organization. As a central team, we're establishing the infrastructure, analytics capabilities, and GenAI-powered tools that enable every Leo team-from business operations to customer support to capacity planning-to make data-driven decisions and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As a Technical Program Manager, you'll be the connector who ensures we're all marching to the beat of the same drum. You'll orchestrate data flows across the organization, align fragmented efforts into unified solutions, and drive execution of programs that transform how Leo teams access, understand, and act on data. Your work will span data infrastructure that ingests from dozens of source systems, science-driven operational tools that optimize business outcomes, and GenAI solutions that make organizational knowledge accessible to every team. The timeline for onboarding aligns with when we'll be bringing on our first Leo customers. You will be defining how a rapidly scaling satellite business operates on data. You'll connect the dots between engineering teams building data pipelines, scientists developing optimization models, business teams defining metrics, and operations teams executing daily workflows. Your programs will establish the single source of truth that enables Leo to launch and scale globally. Key job responsibilities You will manage technical programs that establish and scale Leo Business' central data infrastructure and science solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and organizational alignment. - Data Infrastructure Orchestration: Drive programs that ingest, store, and curate data from first-party (Leo catalog, order management), second-party (AWS services), and third-party sources (Salesforce, Marketo) into a unified data lake. Ensure pipelines are reliable, scalable, and meet cross-organizational needs. - Cross-Organizational Alignment: Connect disparate efforts into cohesive data strategies. Partner with teams to identify gaps and eliminate silos. Ensure consistent access to curated datasets, standardized metrics, and shared dashboards. - GenAI and Analytics Solutions: Manage development of GenAI-powered tools that connect data infrastructure to organizational needs. Drive programs that enable natural language queries, intelligent recommendations, and production-ready science models. - Governance and Standards: Establish data quality standards, security protocols, and governance frameworks. Drive adoption of centralized tools, manage multi-tenancy requirements, and ensure compliance. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. About the Company

A

Amazon

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
