Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support a growing, award-winning company in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. The Technical Program Manager role requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite each week. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned program leader who excels at aligning strategic initiatives, driving execution discipline, and partnering across product and IT leadership teams.
Responsibilities of the Technical Program Manager include:
- Guide enterprise portfolio planning cycles by partnering with product and IT leadership to align priorities and support executive-level decision making.
- Coordinate with delivery teams to provide clear capacity insights, effort sizing, and trade-off recommendations across initiatives.
- Lead recurring execution reviews with senior stakeholders, ensuring progress tracking, risk visibility, and timely course correction.
- Implement consistent portfolio reporting, including standardized metrics around delivery performance, predictability, and quality.
- Step into complex or at-risk programs to identify root causes, resolve dependencies, and improve overall delivery flow across teams.
Requirements of the Technical Program Manager include:
- Bachelor's degree REQUIRED
- 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2+ years leading large-scale technical programs spanning multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to translate SDLC metrics and technical delivery data into actionable insights for executive stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior leadership while collaborating effectively with technical teams.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks, with the ability to apply hybrid or waterfall methodologies when appropriate.
- Hands-on expertise with SaaS-based project management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
Compensation for the Technical Program Manager include:
- $140,000 - $165,000 annually
