Eleven Recruiting is seeking a Technical Program Manager for an established aerospace and defense manufacturer in the Seattle area. This role will lead hardware programs from planning through delivery, managing scope, cost, schedule, and technical performance. You will work directly with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges, manage risk, and deliver on program commitments. Programs support hypersonics, missile defense, tactical missiles, and integrated defense systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering background and experience leading complex aerospace or defense programs.
Responsibilities:-
Lead cross-functional teams through the design, development, analysis, testing, and delivery of mechanical and pyrotechnic components and systems.

Serve as the primary customer contact for technical and program matters, communicating progress, priorities, and risks.

Manage program scope, budgets, schedules, and technical requirements to meet customer and contractual commitments.

Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), work breakdown structures, and risk mitigation plans.

Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Contracts, and Finance to keep programs on track.

Lead program reviews and present technical decisions, schedule updates, and recovery plans to customers and senior leadership.

Manage engineering changes, configuration control, and program documentation.

Support proposals, new business opportunities, and the transition from contract award to program execution.
Required Qualifications:-
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical field.

5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in aerospace or systems engineering.

Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams from program planning through delivery.

Demonstrated ability to manage program cost, schedule, scope, and technical risk.

Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules and tracking program risks and opportunities.

Experience with propulsion, launch or deployment systems, payload protection, or pyrotechnic/ordnance devices.

Experience in a Department of Defense contracting environment, including familiarity with FAR/DFARS requirements and customer program reviews.

Ability to communicate technical and program information clearly to customers and senior leadership.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:-
Masters degree in a related technical field or an MBA.

Experience with hypersonics, missile defense, tactical missiles, or other strategic or tactical weapons programs.

PMP certification or formal project/program management training.

Experience working within or leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Active U.S. government security clearance.
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000
