Technical Program Manager

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Technical Program Manager Job in Wilmington, MA. This contract job is available with one of our key customers in the aerospace and defense industry. In this role, you will lead delivery of next-generation coaxial UAS platforms at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations. You will serve as the connective tissue that keeps complex programs on track by aligning cross-functional teams, managing risk, and ensuring that what is promised gets built and delivered. To be successful in this position, you must be highly organized, persistent, curious, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you are expected to take initiative and drive programs forward with minimal supervision. Some domestic and international travel will be required.

Technical Program Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Define, scope, and plan programs and projects with realistic and achievable cost and schedule estimates, develop workflows to monitor progress, and track milestones, dependencies, risks, and team commitments.
• Partner with customers and the product team to define CONOPS and high-level system requirements, represent engineering in requirements discussions, translate customer needs into actionable and traceable engineering requirements, and maintain requirements traceability throughout the program lifecycle.
• Develop test plans and acceptance criteria aligned with aerospace standards and best practices, support flight test operations, and drive a culture of quality across system verification and validation activities.
• Serve as the liaison between engineering, operations, product, business development, leadership, and external partners while identifying and mitigating risks before they become program-threatening issues.
• Lead product transitions from engineering development into production and field operations while supporting flight test events, marketing demonstrations, customer-facing activities, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 7+ years of work experience in program and project management, along with PMP certification or equivalent formal program management training.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or equivalent, with experience using agile or iterative development methodologies in hardware and software programs.
• Deep UAS domain expertise, preferably including FPV systems, One Way Attack (OWA) platforms, and coaxial or rotary-wing UAV systems, with experience managing multidisciplinary UAS or aerospace hardware programs from concept through fielding.
• Strong working knowledge of aerospace testing standards and verification and validation processes, with familiarity with MBSE tools and practices.
• Experience with DoD acquisition processes, CDRL management, government program offices, and military or defense customer demonstrations and evaluations, along with the ability to lead, influence, and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
