The Technical Producer I supports delivery for Enterprise IT by helping make work visible, organized, and actionable. This role is responsible for executing on small projects, sprint tasks, and emergent work while building the habits, technical context, and delivery discipline required to support more complex efforts over time.
In EIT, this role helps teams maintain execution transparency, supports healthy delivery rituals and work tracking, and begins developing the technical and business context needed to participate meaningfully in planning, prioritization, and dependency conversations.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain visibility into assigned work by keeping sprint and backlog tracking current, ensuring tasks are visible, actionable, and progressing in Jira.
- Support small projects, sprint tasks, and emergent delivery work, typically in the range of 1 to 5 days of scope.
- Help prepare work for execution by clarifying task details, surfacing blockers, and ensuring next steps are understood by the team.
- Partner with delivery leads, people managers, product leads, technical leads, or senior producers to keep priorities clear and reduce ambiguity in daily execution.
- Reinforce team accountability by following up on commitments, tracking risks and blockers, and escalating issues when progress stalls.
- Assist with demand intake by helping capture new work, route it appropriately, and prevent unreviewed work from entering team workflows.
- Support delivery rituals and basic work systems for teams that still require stronger operational structure and tracking support.
- Build baseline IT and ITSM knowledge and develop a working understanding of the team’s systems, business context, and key dependencies.
- Participate in cross-team conversations with guidance, helping identify dependencies, document follow-ups, and keep actions moving.
- Document issues, decisions, and action items clearly so work can be followed through to completion.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in project coordination, production, delivery, operations, IT support, service management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized across multiple tasks and keep work tracking current and reliable.
- Comfortable following established processes while learning how to apply judgment in dynamic delivery environments.
- Basic familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, or comparable workflow tools is preferred.
- Foundational interest in technical systems, infrastructure, enterprise tooling, or service operations, with a willingness to build domain fluency over time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to keep teammates informed and raise issues early.
- Able to work with direction from more senior delivery, product, technical, or people leadership while steadily increasing independence.
What Success Looks Like:
- Work assigned to the producer is visible, current, and easy for the team to understand.
- Small efforts move forward with minimal confusion, fewer dropped follow-ups, and timely escalation of blockers.
- New work is captured and routed cleanly instead of entering the system informally or ad hoc.
- The producer is growing in technical fluency, confidence, and judgment within their EIT domain.
