Lead High-Impact Data, Cloud, and AI Initiatives
 
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Lead III to support a complex data engineering project and AI adoption program in Austin, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior project management professional with deep experience leading enterprise data, analytics, cloud, and technology initiatives.
 
In this role, you will drive cross-functional coordination, manage complex project deliverables, and support data engineering and platform initiatives while ensuring alignment across business, engineering, data, and AI stakeholders.
 
The ideal candidate brings extensive technical project leadership experience, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and a strong understanding of data architecture, cloud platforms, data pipelines, analytics, and enterprise technology environments.
 
What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead the planning and execution of moderate to complex technical projects and business solutions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across data engineering, development, analytics, business, and AI initiatives
  • Define project scope, objectives, requirements, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics
  • Lead requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project planning, and implementation activities
  • Manage data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence, big data, and analytics initiatives
  • Track project schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables
  • Provide comprehensive project monitoring, status reporting, and executive-level communications
  • Support cloud platform, data pipeline, and enterprise application initiatives
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, resource planning, and financial status reporting
  • Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, technical stakeholders, and business partners
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear communications for business leaders and executive audiences
  • Develop and maintain project plans, charters, schedules, documentation, and lessons learned
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements, engineering priorities, and AI adoption initiatives
  • Support projects operating within healthcare or other regulated environments
 
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience leading technical projects or programs within data, analytics, and cloud environments
  • 10+ years of experience leading data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives from planning through delivery
  • 10+ years of experience managing business intelligence, big data, and analytics projects in complex enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting healthcare data initiatives, with familiarity with FHIR, CCDA, or HL7 considered highly valuable
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies
  • Demonstrated experience defining project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and success metrics
  • Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial status reporting
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms, data systems, and enterprise applications
  • Strong project documentation skills, including project plans, charters, schedules, and lessons learned
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex project timelines
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business and executive audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business partners
  • Proactive leadership style, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
 
Certification Requirement
Project Management Professional, PMP, certification is required and must be clearly listed on the resume. Proof of current certification may be requested.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience within healthcare or other regulated environments
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Familiarity with compliance, security, and data governance concepts
  • Understanding of information management principles, IT processes, SDLC, architecture, and enterprise technologies
  • Strong consulting and facilitation skills
  • Customer-focused communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • 3+ years of experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives at the project or program level
  • Additional certifications such as PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, TOGAF, Cloud Solution Architecture, or Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications
