Salary Range: $120,506 - $160,800
As a Technical Project Manager within an integrated Government and contractor team, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and operational performance excellence. The candidate will provide project management and leadership for cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams that specify, develop, integrate, test, operate, and sustain electronic warfare threat-representative targets and simulation systems for test and training ranges. The candidate will be responsible for the project’s life cycle process (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing process).
Essential Job Functions:
Plan technical projects: Collect requirements and define scope, identify stake holders, develop project plans, create work breakdown structure.
Schedules: Define, sequence, and estimate durations for activities; generate schedules with defined milestones while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Budgets: generate labor and material resource and cost estimates, allocate cost to activities.
Risk Management: Identify risk, perform risk analysis and mitigations plans. Implement and monitor risk mitigation controls.
Materials: track materials procurements, cost, and delivery schedule to ensure they support the cost and schedule requirements.
Own and maintain the project master schedule, track deliverables, risk mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
Manage the daily project workflow and interactions between disciplines and technical subject matter experts.
Partner with cross functional teams in finding and implementing solutions to problem and challenges.
Oversee operational processes, ensuring efficiency, alignment, and continuous improvement across the team.
Stakeholder communication: Develop project dashboards and provide regular updates to stakeholders, including status reports, risk assessments, and project outcomes.
Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
Requires MS degree or a BS degree in engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a technical discipline.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance the for the duration of employment.
Have 3+ years of project management experience in hardware/software development and integration environment in an aerospace, defense or other related industry.
Have experience and clear understanding and management of HW/SW development cycle from requirements definition, design reviews, fabrication, integration, test, etc.
Clear understanding of engineering documentation and processes.
Experience with Project Scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet).
Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to multitask.
Desired Skills:
PMP, Agile, or similar training or certification preferred
Experience with aerospace product development, design, and I&T life cycles.
Ability to work across all disciplines, functions/levels as part of a team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
