QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience managing Data Engineering and/or Data Science projects in cloud environments
• Understanding of AWS data services including S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, SageMaker, Lambda, and Step Functions
• Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and machine learning lifecycle concepts
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and cloud security practices
• Experience managing distributed teams and offshore delivery models
• Strong risk management, stakeholder management, and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe certification
• AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect certification
• Experience in airlines, travel, transportation, or logistics industries
• Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, Tableau, QuickSight, or Power BI
• Exposure to DataOps and MLOps practices
• Familiarity with airline data domains such as passenger operations, revenue management, fleet analytics, or loyalty programs

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for Data Engineering and Data Science initiatives from planning through implementation and post-production support
• Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics
• Maintain project plans, RAID logs, risk registers, status reporting, and governance processes
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies across distributed teams
• Coordinate activities between onsite business and technology stakeholders and offshore GCC teams
• Manage cross-functional communication, resource planning, dependency management, and issue resolution
• Support delivery across AWS data platforms and services including S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Lambda, SageMaker, Athena, and Step Functions
• Partner with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to address technical dependencies and delivery challenges
• Support architecture reviews, data pipeline initiatives, and machine learning deployment efforts
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and data quality standards
• Prepare executive-level project status reports, roadmaps, and stakeholder communications
