Key Skills:
  • 12+ years of IT experience with at least 6+ years in technical project / program management delivering data and analytics solutions.
  • Strong AI/ML background — understanding of ML lifecycle, Vertex AI / MLOps , and modern GenAI / LLM patterns (RAG, agentic workflows, evaluation).
  • Demonstrated team leadership of 10+ engineers across distributed onshore/offshore models.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA/Confluence, and modern delivery tooling.
  • Experience running production operations with formal SLAs, incident, problem, and change management.
  • Excellent client-facing skills — executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder influence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities:
Project & Delivery Management
  • Own end-to-end delivery of GCP Data Lake and AI/ML programs across discovery, build, deployment, and stabilization phases.
  • Define and maintain project plans, RAID logs, sprint cadences, release calendars, and milestone roadmaps.
  • Drive delivery governance — status reporting, steering committees, executive readouts, and risk escalation.
  • Manage scope, budget, and timelines through change control, vendor coordination, and SOW management.
  • Apply Agile / Scrum / SAFe or hybrid methodologies appropriate to the engagement.
Technical Leadership — GCP Data Lake & AI/ML
  • Architect and oversee build-out of enterprise data lakes on GCP leveraging BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, and Dataplex .
  • Guide ingestion, transformation, and curation patterns (batch + streaming) with strong data quality, lineage, and governance controls.
  • Direct AI/ML solutioning — model selection, feature engineering, Vertex AI , MLOps , evaluation, and responsible-AI practices.
  • Translate business problems into technical designs spanning data engineering, ML, and GenAI use cases.
  • Champion security, compliance, and FinOps — IAM, VPC-SC, CMEK, cost optimization, and quota management.
Team Management
  • Lead cross-functional teams of data engineers, ML engineers, cloud architects, BI developers, and QA — typically 10–30+ resources across onshore/offshore.
  • Coach, mentor, and grow engineers and leads; conduct performance reviews, career planning, and capability building.
  • Plan capacity, allocations, and skills mix against the delivery roadmap.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence — code reviews, design reviews, retrospectives, knowledge sharing.
Operations Management
  • Run production operations for data and AI platforms — SLAs/SLOs, incident management, on-call, and RCA / problem management .
  • Establish observability — monitoring, alerting, cost dashboards, model drift, and data-quality SLAs.
  • Own DevOps / DataOps / MLOps disciplines — CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), environment promotion, release management.
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPIs, runbooks, automation, and operational maturity assessments.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary client interface — build trusted relationships with business sponsors, IT leadership, and end-users .
  • Lead consultative discovery — elicit requirements, shape solutions, and influence roadmaps.
  • Manage commercials — SOWs, change orders, MSAs, T&M / fixed-bid models, and revenue forecasting.
  • Identify and pursue account growth opportunities; partner with sales/pre-sales on proposals and estimates.
  • Run executive cadences — QBRs, monthly reviews, and value-realization reporting.
