Senior Technical Project Manager – IT
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional IT initiatives that support business operations and technology modernization. This role is responsible for the full project lifecycle—from planning and execution through delivery and post-implementation review—while partnering closely with technical and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of technical expertise, project governance, and stakeholder communication, and can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in both Agile and Waterfall environments.Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale IT projects, including scope definition, estimation, scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control while providing regular status reporting.
- Coordinate and oversee system integration and application development efforts to meet business objectives.
- Partner with business and technical teams to define project goals, success metrics, and delivery plans.
- Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on scope, timeline, and budget.
- Proactively identify obstacles, analyze root causes, and drive solutions with minimal supervision.
- Ensure projects adhere to internal standards, governance, and best practices.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies and tools based on project needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 8+ years of experience managing complex IT or software development projects.
- Experience delivering projects in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with SDLC, system integrations, and technical delivery teams.
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
