Technical Publications & Training Specialist

OneSource Professional Search is partnering with a well-established Louisiana-based industrial equipment manufacturer to hire a Technical Publications & Training Specialist in Kenner, Louisiana. This role combines technical writing, video production, and AI-assisted documentation to create SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and technical resources for manufacturing employees, service technicians, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Capture and edit video of manufacturing, equipment operation, assembly, repair, and service processes.

• Use AI-powered tools to create SOPs, work instructions, training guides, and technical documentation.

• Create instructional videos and digital training materials.

• Review and edit AI-generated content for technical accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency.

• Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to verify technical content.

• Maintain documentation, digital assets, and revision control.

• Support employee training, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant Associate degree preferred.

• 2–4 years of experience in technical documentation, training, digital media, manufacturing support, or a related field.

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and technical communication skills.

• Strong computer aptitude and ability to learn new AI and digital documentation tools.

• Video recording/editing experience or willingness to learn.

• Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other technical teams.

This is an on-site role involving regular interaction with manufacturing and testing areas and occasional travel as needed.
