Technical Recruiter

Rockstar is recruiting for a well-funded, early-stage company building AI workers for back-office departments in American manufacturing. The client is backed by a16z Speedrun and angels from Brex, Xwing, and Betterment. The company's mission is to revitalize an industry and rebuild America's manufacturing backbone by helping US manufacturers move faster, grow, and compete globally.

The Role

This is a true 01 recruiting role. The recruiter will build the team that builds the company. The recruiter will own full-cycle recruiting across engineering and go-to-market: sourcing, pipeline, candidate experience, and close. The recruiter will be hands-on and high-volume, and will set the bar for how the company hires as it scales from a small founding team to many.

The recruiter will work directly with the founders and hiring managers to define what "great" looks like for each role, run a fast and thoughtful process, and give every candidate an experience that reflects how much the company cares about the team. This is a seat for a builder who wants to shape a company through the people they bring in.

What the Recruiter Will Do

• Partners with founders and hiring managers to define scorecards, ideal profiles, and a rigorous interview process for every open role
• Builds targeted pipelines for engineering and GTM roles through creative sourcing, referrals, communities, and highly personalized outreach
• Owns the candidate journey end-to-end, from first contact and screening through interviews, references, offer, and close
• Assesses candidates against role outcomes and values, synthesizes evidence clearly, and continually calibrates the hiring bar with the team
• Runs a fast, thoughtful process with excellent communication, tight scheduling, and a candidate experience that reflects how the company operates
• Instruments the recruiting funnel, forecasts hiring progress, finds bottlenecks, and builds repeatable systems that help the team scale

The Founders

Co-Founder & CEO — Began his career at Acer and Northrop Grumman, then advised industrial companies at Bain. At Xwing, he helped scale the company and led GTM through its acquisition by Joby Aviation. He holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA from USC.

Co-Founder & CTO — Began his career at Meta, founded a YC-backed startup, and joined a media company after its acquisition. He later became a founding engineer on a major spend management product and led its engineering organization. He holds a BS in Computer Science from USC.

Comp & Benefits

Base salary $140,000–$180,000 depending on level and experience, plus the opportunity to receive meaningful early-stage equity ($15,000–$70,000 per year) in the company. The role also includes great healthcare coverage, dinner provided at the office, and unlimited Celsius.

Location

The role is based in the company's NYC office five days a week.
