Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to join a dynamic team in Santa Cruz, California. This full-time position is pivotal in supporting the hiring efforts across engineering and technology teams. The role focuses on identifying, engaging, and hiring top engineering talent, including Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Embedded Systems Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and related technical professionals. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a keen understanding of engineering skill sets, and excel at building strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for engineering and technical positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, team objectives, and workforce planning needs.
- Source active and passive engineering candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, professional organizations, and other sourcing channels.
- Conduct recruiter screenings to evaluate technical backgrounds, experience, and cultural alignment.
- Develop and maintain robust engineering talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Coordinate interview processes and ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance.
- Consult with hiring leaders on market trends, candidate availability, competitive intelligence, and compensation expectations.
- Build relationships within engineering communities to expand talent networks and employer branding efforts.
- Maintain accurate recruiting records and activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of recruiting experience with a focus on engineering, software, hardware, manufacturing, or other technical disciplines.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and recruiting passive engineering talent.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and sourcing tools.
- Ability to understand technical job requirements and effectively communicate with engineering professionals.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting for software development, embedded systems, hardware, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or cloud engineering roles.
- Prior agency recruiting experience supporting engineering clients.
- Familiarity with engineering technologies, development methodologies, and technical skill assessment processes.
- Experience recruiting within startup, technology, or advanced manufacturing environments.
