Candidate Profile

The ideal temporary recruiter should possess:

  • 3-5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Experience working in applicant tracking systems (ATS) - workday preferred 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience supporting recruiting efforts across multiple business units
  • Construction, engineering, or skilled trades recruiting experience preferred, not required
  • Familiarity with working with partners in multiple state/locations 
  • Collaboration
  • Sense of urgency
  • Works well with multiple personalities and communication styles 

 

Primary Daily Responsibilities (Recruiting Operations):

Recruiting & Candidate Management

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned openings by the TA Specialist. 
  •  Review and status incoming candidates in the ATS (ideally within 3 days of applying).
  • Post approved job openings on internal and external job boards.
  • Review applications and conduct initial phone screenings. Share feedback with respective hiring managers. 
  • Work with HR Coordinator to coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams/managers. 
  • Maintain candidate communications throughout the recruiting process.
  • Follow up with hiring managers/teams on interview feedback collection.
  • Support passive candidate outreach efforts by sourcing candidates via LinkedIn, ATS search and other platforms. 

Hiring Manager Support

  • Serve as the primary recruiting contact for hiring managers.
  • Provide updates on open requisitions and candidate activity.
  • Assist managers with interview coordination and recruiting timelines.
  • Escalate complex hiring issues to the Talent Acquisition Specialist.

College Recruiting & Internship Support

  • Assist with internship job postings and incoming candidate reviews as needed.

 

Weekly Progress Report Expectations:

Provide weekly updates to the Talent Acquisition Specialist including:

  • Open/closed requisitions status
  • Candidate pipeline updates
  • # of Interviews scheduled and completed
  • Offers extended and accepted/or declined and why
  • Recruiting challenges requiring assistance

 

Key Success Measures During Leave:

  • Requisitions remain actively managed (meeting timeline goals)
  • Positive candidate experience is maintained
  • Provide sourcing support to TA/Hiring Teams
  • Hiring managers receive timely communication
  • Positions are filled in a timely manner
  • Recruiting data remains accurate and current
