Volt is immediately hiring Technical Recruiter for a Biotechnology company in Tustin, CA.

As a Technical Recruiter, you will:

Job Description Day to Day Responsibilities Work with hiring managers across functions to understand staffing needs and define role requirements. Source and engage candidates through multiple channels, including job boards, social media, direct outreach, and referrals. Screen applications and conduct initial candidate interviews, evaluating skills, experience, and cultural fit. Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and internal teams, manage follow-ups, and communication. Maintain applicant tracking systems or candidate databases, update candidate information, interview notes, and statuses. Support job postings, draft, and publish job descriptions, ensuring clarity and alignment with company values.

This is a 3-6 month contract. Opportunity of extension based on need. 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3 PM, onsite.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred with a scientific background. • Previous recruiting or talent acquisition experience, contract, part-time, or full-time. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, able to interact effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders. • Comfortable working with applicant tracking and candidate database tools. • Organized and detail-oriented. • Proactive sourcing mindset, comfortable using creative outreach, direct messaging, networking, referrals to build talent pipelines.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Recruiting in biotech, scientific, or similarly technical industries, preferably but not strictly required. • Ability to work independently, manage time and priorities, and handle multiple concurrent searches. • Familiarity or willingness to learn about technical and scientific job roles, R&D, manufacturing, lab-tech, and biotech sales.

Schedule and Pay Rate

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3 PM, onsite. Pay Rate: $32-38 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidates education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
