Technical Sales and Design Engineer The Technical Sales and Design Engineer serves as the primary support specialist for the WITRON Business Development & Engineering team. Collaborating with internal business partners and external clients & vendors a successful D&S Engineer will integrate the wide array of intra-logistics solutions offered by WITRON with our customers specific and results-driven demands to design and deliver innovative and highly-effective automated warehouse solutions.With experience and strong performance the Technical Sales and Design Engineer may have further opportunities to advance into project andor account management responsibilities in support of our business development engineering and project realization installation teams.Primary ResponsibilitiesServe as a liaison between potential customers and WITRONs design center in GermanyWork with potential customers to define design requirements and collect dataWork with colleagues to analyze data and present analysis results to potential customersPresent designs to potential customersAssist in project hand-over to project management team once a contract has been signedEducation & ExperienceMinimum 1 year of experience working in a customer-facing technical roleBS Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred or a 4-year degree in a related field requiredSkills & KnowledgeBasic knowledge of industrial automation and warehouse operationsAbility to work well in a team environmentStrategic Thinking Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve objectives.Communication Skills Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey ideas pitch productsservices and build relationships.Leadership and Team Management Experience in leading and motivating teams delegating tasks and fostering collaboration to achieve goals.Financial Acumen Understanding of financial metrics budgeting and resource allocation to make informed decisions and optimize ROI.Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel PowerPoint AccessBasic knowledge of AutoCAD and REVITKnowledge of German language helpful but not requiredScheduling & TravelDuring the initial training phase the D&S Engineer will spend intermittent periods of several weeks or months at WITRON Headquarters in Parkstein Germany Availability to travel frequently to various locations in the U.S. Canada and Europe Visit our web site atwww.witron.comWITRON is an Equal Opportunity Employer
