A specialized manufacturer of high-performance converting materials is seeking a Technical Sales and Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth across a core industrial market while expanding into adjacent sectors. This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional who thrives at the intersection of technical application and consultative selling, someone who brings genuine converting knowledge, a composed and professional approach, and the drive to build lasting customer relationships from the ground up. The position is based onsite in the Pittsburgh metro area and offers the opportunity to lead a cross-functional sales team while owning the full commercial cycle from prospecting through production launch.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrive revenue growth by meeting and exceeding established sales and new business development targetsManage and expand an existing portfolio of accounts across automotive OEM and Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier relationshipsIdentify and pursue new opportunities in target markets including electronics, EV, power generation, construction, healthcare, and industrial sectorsLead the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through RFQ, quoting, negotiation, order acquisition, PPAP coordination, and production launchDevelop target customer lists and lead go-to-market plans for new account acquisitionCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, estimating, operations, and marketing to support quoting and customer onboardingLead, manage, and develop a small cross-functional sales team including inside and outside sales representatives and technical support staffEstablish team goals and KPIs to drive consistent revenue performanceConduct regular in-person visits with key accounts to maintain relationships and address evolving customer needsDeliver technically grounded commercial presentations tailored to specific customer requirementsMaintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting within CRM platformsMonitor market trends and competitive activity to inform strategic planningRepresent the organization at trade shows and industry events to expand market presenceTravel up to 40% across the Midwest, Northeast, and Southern regionsQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree required; technical or engineering background strongly preferredMinimum of 3 to 5 years of technical sales experience with a track record of closing new businessExperience in converting, die cutting, or flexible material manufacturing including films, foams, fibers, non-wovens, or adhesivesDemonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficiency in CRM platforms such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or equivalentProficient in Microsoft Office SuitePreferredBackground supporting automotive OEMs or Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliersPrior experience leading or mentoring a sales teamFamiliarity with quoting processes, BOMs, and basic pricing structures in a converting environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
