Technical Service Center (TSC) Engineer – Injection Molding & Equipment Support

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically driven Technical Service Center (TSC) Engineer to support injection molding operations at a state-of-the-art facility in Smyrna, GA. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work directly with molding equipment, molds, and process optimization—playing a key role in ensuring performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.

This position is ideal for someone early in their engineering career who wants to build deep expertise in injection stretch blow molding and plastics processing, while working closely with cross-functional teams and cutting-edge equipment.

Location: Smyrna, GA (future relocation to Lithia Springs, GA)
Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 base (hourly) + overtime potential

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Technical Service Center operations related to injection molding and blow molding equipment
  • Assist with new mold trials, process setup, validation, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot and repair molding machines, molds, and ancillary equipment
  • Maintain detailed records of trials, processes, and maintenance activities
  • Participate in mold design reviews and provide recommendations to improve product quality
  • Prepare and deliver clear project updates and daily reports
  • Inspect, receive, and manage inventory of materials and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Support and maintain 5S practices to promote a clean and efficient work environment
  • Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues using schematics and technical documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to plant personnel on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Collaborate with internal teams including service, design, and international support groups
  • Travel occasionally (10–20%) to customer sites for support and troubleshooting

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience with Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) OR 2–3 years in injection molding within the plastics industry
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical systems, including analog and digital circuits
  • Familiarity with polymer materials and molding processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel 10–20% as needed
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Passport
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor

Preferred Skills
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plastics Engineering
  • Experience with mold design fundamentals and process optimization
  • Exposure to international equipment manufacturers or technical support environments
  • Experience working in a lab, technical center, or manufacturing support environment
