Technical Service Representative

Job Brief

Provides technical advice to the sales force and customers in order to resolve product or service requests regarding technical or application related issues.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls and emails from sales representatives, dealers, and end users.
• Travels domestically (4-6 times per year) and internationally to provide equipment training.
• Tests new equipment in house and in the field.
• Researches information with engineering and vendors.
• Handles customer problems that appear to arise from the use of the product.
• Provides repair training to customers.
• Identifies service information (parts, etc.).
• Provides equipment related training to sales representatives (1 to 4 times annually).

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Strong phone communication skills. Travels domestically (4-6 times per year) and internationally (1-2 times per year) to provide equipment training.
• Position requires current drivers license
• Knowledge of application and function of all Diamond Products equipment.
