Technical Service Representative / Machinery (Remote)

About The Role

In this role, you will deliver efficient and timely technical support to customers, focusing on their packaging equipment operations. Your efforts will contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and improving packaging performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a safety leader, prioritizing safety in all responsibilities.
• Understand and address customer requirements related to product and equipment issues.
• Service customer equipment to ensure optimal performance of machinery and packaging materials.
• Identify and communicate machinery and packaging material issues to appropriate staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization.
• Perform audits on packaging machines and participate in field trials of new materials.
• Assist in the installation and start-up of packaging equipment.
• Provide input on the design, installation, and start-up of equipment from external suppliers.
• Schedule own time and travel, prioritizing customer calls.
• Conduct training for customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Participate and potentially lead smaller tasks within larger projects.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal staff.
• Complete KMS and expense reports within specified timeframes and submit weekly schedules.

Qualifications

• Technical Degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience in the food packaging industry (material & machinery).
• Willingness to travel 60% or more, with a valid driver's license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

• Travel required 60% or more.
