    Description

    As a Technical Service Representative, you will conduct complaint investigations, product startup demonstrations, and applications assistance for new and existing contractors/clients. You will report directly to the Technical Manager and focus on the east coast. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Complaint investigations –investigate product complaints using defined test protocols, document and report results. 
    • Product benchmarking- conduct internal and external product testing, document and report results in co-ordination with the PPC lab  
    • Applications testing - complete hands-on application testing 
    • Ensure that accurate safety attitudes, procedures, site rules are communicated on all work programs and conduct work in a manner that protects self, co-workers, the environment, and the safety of the community. 
    • Operate and maintain field coating inspection test equipment following established specifications with limited supervision 
    • Answer product technical questions – Field technical product calls from the field organization, assist in product recommendation and competitive cross-overs 
    • Perform testing on coatings in the industrial segments for the Tru Industrial Team. 

    Qualifications: 

    • 3-5 years practical coating application with industrial coatings products is preferred. 
    • Prior experience with coating inspections required.  
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. 
    • Basic computer literacy and proficiency with programs such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, etc. 
    • Minimum education High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
