Candidates who receive an offer will be required to complete a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.Technical Services - Office (DocuCare) Level 2Buffalo, NY (Onsite)3 monthsThe Printer/Equipment Support Technician serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring efficient operation, maintenance, and support of printing and office equipment. This role involves a mix of break-fix services, device management, customer support, and coordination of service activities to maintain optimal equipment performance.Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary customer contact for equipment support and service requests Coordinate Move/Add/Change (MAC) activities Provide ongoing end-user training on equipment usage Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and issue resolutionService Delivery & Technical Support Perform break-fix activities (approximately 70% of role responsibilities) Conduct basic device cleaning and replace consumables and operator-accessible parts Diagnose and resolve basic equipment issues Provide IP address support and assist with printer networking Install and configure printer drivers and perform printer mapping on user devices Manage device configuration including IP setup, scanning templates, and user access levels Monitor and apply software updates and patches Serve as point of contact for equipment delivery, removal, and onsite support Maintain inventory of parts and consumables on-site Proactively manage supplies using internal tools (e.g., DOS calculator) Collect and submit meter readings for billing purposes Track assets and perform accurate data entry in designated systems Provide remote and onsite device management and troubleshooting Utilize web-based tools for service call handling and reporting Support remote issue resolution requiring technical expertise Escalate complex network or device issues to appropriate teams Manage both Xerox and non-Xerox devices as requiredCoordination & Reporting Contact external service providers (e.g., Xerox, third-party vendors) when needed Ensure accurate call logging and reporting in company systems Track and report account activities and performance metrics Coordinate tasks to ensure fulfillment of service-level agreements (SLAs/SOWs)Required Skills & Qualifications: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Basic understanding of printer and office equipment troubleshooting Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision Basic knowledge of networking (IP configuration, printer connectivity) Problem-solving and escalation management skills Ability to read, write, and follow basic English instructions 1–2 years of experience in printer support, equipment maintenance, or a similar technical role Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (verification required)Metasys Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
