TECHNICAL SERVICES OFFICER

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain and repair various types of Police Department vehicles and equipment. This is accomplished by maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records, performing routine preventative maintenance and minor unscheduled repairs on vehicles and equipment as well as assisting Fleet Services personnel as needed. When needed, this position will also perform as a Public Service Officer whose duties include report-writing, interviewing, data entry, assisting with operations of the Detention and Communications facilities, conducting follow-up investigations and interacting with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.

What We're Looking For

  • 6-12 months of post-secondary technical or vocational training beyond high school.
  • One year's experience in law enforcement working in the areas of Technical Services, Detention Services, Fleet Maintenance or related fields.
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
