Position Summary

The Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for assessing and directing Technical Operations for GISD, GenNET, and Shared Technical Services (STS). Responsibilities include supervising all aspects of network, systems, video, and PC operations and as well as supervising, mentoring and evaluating technical staff. Also works with the entire Technology and Media Services team to resolve operational issues across the customer base. Manages STS Contracts and builds relationships with STS district staff, including local district administration and points of contact. Responsible for making recommendations on hardware, software, infrastructure, and connectivity issues. Screens, interviews, and recommends new staff for employment. Responsible for maintenance of Disaster Recovery and Incident Response Plans. Responsible for creating Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, network engineering, computer science, or a related field required. Technical certifications or specialized training preferred.
  • Experience: At least five years of experience supervising technical staff and managing large-scale telecommunications or network systems. Fiber optic network experience preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of network technologies, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, internet services, and fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience managing projects, coordinating multiple priorities, and leading teams in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Professional Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing technology, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professionalism.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $98,230 - $109,912 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Work Schedule: 261 days/7.5 hours

Paid Time Off:

  • Sick and Personal Business paid time, up to 13 days
  • Bereavement Leave
