Job Summary:
 
The Client Transportation Business Relations Management and Customer Service unit is seeking a Technical Specialist to support IT Procurement Services. This role is responsible for procuring IT goods and services, managing vendor quotes, processing purchase orders, and supporting solicitation and contract activities.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Procure IT hardware, software, and related services.
  • Obtain vendor quotes and process purchase orders.
  • Prepare and manage RFQs, IFBs, RFPs, amendments, addendums, and related procurement documentation.
  • Utilize eVP, Sourcing Tool, and Contract Workspace for procurement activities.
  • Interpret procurement policies, regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with state procurement guidelines and procedures.
 
Required Skills:
 
  • Experience in government or public-sector procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex contract language and procurement requirements.
 
Additional Information:
 
  • Hybrid work environment; onsite attendance required as needed.
  • Candidate must currently reside in North Carolina.
  • Equipment pickup required on the first day at the candidate's expense.
  • W2 contract opportunity.
