Job Description:
Business Unit: NCS
The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for product definition, positioning, and go-to-market execution for Microchip's USB and connectivity semiconductor solutions.
This role requires USB and system-level knowledge, and strong engagement with customers to define products based on real application needs. The individual will act as the voice of the customer, translating system requirements into product definitions and driving successful design-ins and market adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Definition
Define new USB and connectivity semiconductor products based on direct customer engagement and system requirements
Develop and own Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)
Drive alignment with engineering on architecture, features, and performance trade-offs
Influence roadmap based on customer and market needs
Customer Engagement
Interface directly with key OEMs, Tier 1 customers, and ecosystem partners
Capture system-level requirements
Support design-in activities and strategic customer programs
Go-to-Market Execution
Lead product launches, including positioning, pricing, and readiness
Define target applications
Partner with sales and FAEs to drive pipeline and revenue growth
Competitive Analysis
Analyze USB and connectivity competitive landscape
Sales & Field Enablement
Develop Marketing collateral
Train global sales and FAE teams on USB product positioning and differentiation
Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of experience in:
Product Marketing, Product Management, or Applications Engineering
Semiconductor industry (required)
Hands-on experience with USB technologies (preferred)
Proven experience in defining products based on customer requirements
Strong understanding of system-level design and customer applications
