The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist (Field Service) for a prominent client of ours. This position is in Berkeley, MO 63134. Details of the position are as follows: 

 

Job Description:

  • Pay: UP TO $46.42/hr based on experience.
  • 6-month assignment with the possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Provide technical support for Boeing products at customer locations and company facilities.
  • Monitor product performance and operational status to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and support maintenance of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems and components.
  • Assist with resolving operational, maintenance, and reliability concerns to ensure product supportability and safety.
  • Coordinate resources and support customer action plans during critical operational situations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding product performance and maintenance concerns.
  • Support customer training initiatives and respond to technical inquiries.
  • Manage parts procurement, inventory activities, logistics coordination, and material support functions.
  • Maintain documentation and records utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Support compliance with safety requirements, ESD standards, and organizational procedures.
  • Travel domestically up to 20% as required to support customer needs and field operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Technical Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field with 2+ years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Equivalent combinations may include a Master's degree with relevant experience or 6+ years of related technical work experience.
  • Experience working with electronics, electronic components, mechanical systems, and/or mechanical components.
  • Experience with parts procurement, inventory management, logistics, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Field Service Representative or Field Service Technician.
  • Experience working in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial environment.
  • Experience with factory equipment, manufacturing systems, or factory automation.
  • Experience with fabrication, soldering, repairs, or troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical components.
  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, logistics, and international exporting activities.
  • Experience supporting laboratory compliance, safety programs, or ESD requirements.
  • Ability to work safely in elevated environments using lifts and ladder platforms.
  • Ability to move and pack materials weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Working Environment:

  • Combination of office, warehouse, technical, laboratory, and customer-site environments.
  • Hands-on work with electronic and mechanical components and equipment.
  • May require use of ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms.
  • Frequent interaction with customers, engineering teams, logistics personnel, and support organizations.
  • Domestic travel required to support field operations and customer needs.
