Responsibilities


As a Technical Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:


* Providing timely and accurate technical support to customers and service technicians via telephone, email, and our dedicated support portal.


* Diagnosing and resolving a variety of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system faults on our forklift models.


* Guiding clients and field engineers through step-by-step solutions and effective repair procedures.


* Accurately identifying and recommending the correct spare parts using technical diagrams and internal catalogues.


* Meticulously documenting all customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions within our CRM system.


* Creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles to empower both customers and internal teams.


* Collaborating effectively with service and engineering departments to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.


* Analysing support case trends to provide valuable feedback that contributes to continuous product improvement.




Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:


* Proven experience in a technical support or field service role, preferably within the heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial machinery sector.


* A strong, practical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles.


* Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.


* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and professionally.


* Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk) and the Microsoft Office Suite.


* The ability to work independently and as a proactive member of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.


* A technical qualification, diploma, or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, vehicle maintenance, or a related field is highly desirable.
