The Technical Trainer is responsible for planning and delivering training programs that enable warehouse teams to effectively use the Warehouse Management System. This role develops training materials, schedules training sessions, and ensures operators and supervisors understand system workflows. The Technical Trainer also supports go-live activities and conducts process audits to ensure operational adherence to system processes
Responsibilities:Training Planning & Delivery
Develop and manage training schedules for WMS implementations and system enhancements
Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training for warehouse operators, supervisors, and super users
Coordinate training sessions with site leadership and project teams
Facilitate classroom and floor-based training sessions
Training Content Development
Create and maintain user guides, job aids, and process documentation
Develop role-based training materials for different warehouse functions (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory)
Determines utilization and validates documentation through testing systems.
Update training content as system changes or enhancements are introduced
Support creation of simulation scenarios in training environments
Report training metrics related to systems training, such as satisfaction, completion rates, learner retention.
Go-Live Training Support
Support WMS implementations through onsite training and floor support
Assist operators and supervisors in executing system workflows during initial adoption
Address training-related questions and provide immediate coaching
Process Compliance & Audits
Assess learners’ retention of learning and ensure they are able to apply their knowledge to their everyday use of the technical systems. Measure the effectiveness of the training.
Conduct process enforcements during go-live and stabilization phases
Ensure operational teams are following defined WMS processes and scanning procedures
Identify process gaps and provide corrective coaching
Escalate training or process issues to project leadership
Collaboration
Partner with operations, IT, and implementation teams to align training with system configuration
Support superuser development at warehouse sites
Promote user knowledge sharing of the technical systems through the use of our social collaboration tool.
Maintain and continuously improve the training program and resources.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $59,506.98-79,342.64. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 5%. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
