In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver technical training programs focused on photolithography equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing.

This is a hands-on position combining technical instruction, curriculum development, and field-level equipment expertise. You will work closely with customers, field service teams, and internal engineering groups to ensure high-quality training delivery and accurate technical documentation.

The role requires full-time onsite presence in a cleanroom and training facility environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Training Delivery

  • Conduct instructor-led training for internal teams and external customers on photolithography equipment
  • Deliver classroom and cleanroom-based training covering operation, installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Provide technical presentations and demonstrations in both onsite and customer environments

Course & Content Development

  • Develop, update, and maintain technical training materials, manuals, and curricula
  • Ensure training content is accurate, current, and aligned with equipment specifications and field service requirements
  • Validate technical procedures in collaboration with engineering and field service teams

Equipment & Facility Support

  • Operate, maintain, and prepare training equipment in cleanroom and laboratory settings
  • Ensure training tools and systems are available and fully functional for demonstrations and instruction
  • Support troubleshooting and verification of equipment performance

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Interface with customers to assess training needs and collect feedback for program improvement
  • Participate in technical discussions with internal teams to share knowledge and improve training effectiveness
  • Support field service engineers by clarifying procedures and improving technical documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment, field service, or technical training
  • Strong background in photolithography or semiconductor capital equipment (etch, deposition, CMP, or similar acceptable)
  • Hands-on experience in cleanroom or fab environments
  • Proven experience delivering technical training (classroom + lab/cleanroom settings)
  • Field service or equipment maintenance experience with complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to develop and revise technical documentation or training materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel up to 30–50%

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience as a technical trainer or instructor in semiconductor or industrial equipment
  • Experience working with OEMs or wafer fab equipment vendors
  • Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Exposure to cleanroom protocols and semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical training programs

Work Environment

  • On-site role in San Jose cleanroom and training facility
  • Requires use of full cleanroom PPE (gown, mask, gloves, safety glasses)
  • Work involves close visual inspection of equipment, precision components, and measurement tools
  • Combination of classroom instruction, lab-based training, and equipment demonstrations

Travel & Schedule

  • Approximately 30–50% travel, primarily domestic
  • Occasional international travel (1–2 times per year)
  • Travel durations typically 1–2 weeks per assignment
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as needed for training schedules and customer needs

Why This Role

This position offers the opportunity to combine hands-on semiconductor equipment expertise with instructional leadership, supporting both customer success and internal capability development in a highly technical, fast-paced environment.
