Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with technical experience and excellent communication skills to join our team as a Technical Training Specialist for Equipment Service Technicians/Mechanics. ABOUT THE POSITION

Technical Training Specialists function as part of the Training team. They are responsible for conducting required Technical Service training and development programs for company and customer personnel.

In this role, you will:

  • Conducts programs to meet training needs, providing technicians with a quality educational experience in various topics related to industrial and construction equipment such as:

  • General Equipment and Engines

  • Electrical Systems

  • Powertrain/Hydraulic Systems

  • Mast Inspections and repair

  • Troubleshooting

  • Conducts various training programs for customer personnel as necessary for high-level customers.

  • Maintains knowledge of instructional materials through attendance in manufacturer''s Train-The-Trainer courses.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of technical experience preferably in the forklift, automotive, and/or heavy equipment industry.
  • Minimum 21 years of age with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use various software and operating programs, specifically Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High School education or equivalent

SKILLS THAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Prior training experience
  • Experience operating various construction and/or material-handling equipment

RELATED EXPERIENCE MAY INCLUDE: Lead Technician, Trainer, Training Instructor

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:

This position will be working in company and customer operating facilities and outdoors. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures.

This position will require travel to and from company and customer locations up to 40% of the time. The normal auto and flying hazards will apply.

This position will be frequently working on equipment with potential hazard. Appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.

Position requires sitting, standing, walking, twisting, climbing, crawling bending, stooping, kneeling or squatting handling/fingering and outward reaching on an occasional basis.

Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety harnesses, and safety shoes.

This position requires sitting at a computer desk for extended periods of time with use of a computer keyboard.

This position will continuously talk, hear, and read in verbal and written communication.

This position will require being able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
