Akkodis is seeking a Technical Value Management (TVM) Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate must have experience in automotive engineering, cost optimization, value analysis/value engineering (VAVE), and cross-functional project coordination to deliver measurable product cost savings and business value.
Rate Range: $40/Hour to $42/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Technical Value Management (TVM) Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Identify, evaluate, and implement cost-reduction opportunities across ICE powertrain systems through value engineering and Technical Value Management (TVM) initiatives.
Develop business cases, technical justifications, and savings projections to support product cost optimization programs.
Coordinate with Design Release Engineers, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive engineering changes from concept to implementation.
Analyze engineering, product, and cost data to identify improvement opportunities, track savings realization, and support financial validation activities.
Manage project schedules, implementation plans, risk assessments, and action items to ensure timely delivery of cost-saving initiatives.
Prepare leadership presentations, progress reports, and implementation summaries while supporting continuous improvement and value engineering best practices across powertrain programs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
3+ years of experience in automotive engineering, product optimization, cost reduction, or value engineering initiatives.
Strong experience in Technical Value Management (TVM), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), cost tracking, business case development, and cross-functional project coordination within automotive programs.
Technical knowledge of ICE Powertrain Systems (such as engines, exhaust, aftertreatment, turbochargers, fuel systems, thermal management, or air induction systems) with proven experience analyzing engineering and cost data to deliver measurable cost-saving opportunities.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
