Job Location - Houston, TX
Duration - 06 months

Description

Work with R&D Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, and other stakeholders to create and publish the materials needed for the release of new and/or upgraded *** medical devices. Develop engineering-level knowledge of *** medical devices down to their electrical and mechanical subsystems. Develop in-depth knowledge of technical publication customer needs and attend to them.

Create and publish detailed technical materials in well-written, precise, and clear English for global distribution and meet *** quality requirements. Work with other technical writers, when required, to create technical documentation. Help with the creation of our monthly technical newsletter and other documents per business needs.

• Ensure project deadlines are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in technical publications for electronic equipment.
• Experience in the creation of documents for print and digital media.
• Strong working knowledge of different document creation tools such as Adobe, Flare, and/or Oxygen.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum: BA in English
• Preferred: BA in English with a concentration in composition and rhetoric, or digital humanities.
• Preferred: BA in English and certification or degree in Technical Writing.
