Technical Writer - GMP Documents

Duration - 9 Months, Contract, W-2

Location - Irvine, CA 92614

Pay - $25 to $30.89 an hr

Summary:

The main function of a technical writing specialist is to develop and create accurate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) technical documents.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collect data and testing results and then transcribe these results into statistical software

* Ensure all data collected meets the requirements of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

* Review documents and data sheets for legibility, clarity, and accuracy

* Identify GDP errors on data sheets and work with engineering team to resolve them

* Assist in the maintenance of documentation in a standard format following established guidelines

* Organize the testing results & data sheets, track testing progress, and generate status reports

* Partner with team members to facilitate clarification or explanation of reference materials and technical documentation

* Provide logistical and miscellaneous support to the engineering team conducting device testing

* Other duties assigned by Leadership

Additional Skills:

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field

* 0-2 years of experience required

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat preferred

* Excellent editing and proofreading skills

* Strict attention to detail

* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

* Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) or a proven track record of quickly learning policies such as these

* Proficient in technical writing

* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams
