Seeking a Technical Writer for a contract role in Warren, MI.
Responsibilities include developing and editing mechanical service procedures for chassis, HVAC, Powertrain, Body, Interior, and Exterior components. Utilize Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, and Arbortext to create graphics and technical content, manage publication sections, and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve data issues. Support cost reduction, process improvements, and product enhancements while providing technical guidance and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated on new technologies and practices.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, English, journalism, or communications, with at least 2 years of experience creating documentation for technical audiences. Strong writing, editing, communication skills, the ability to read some programming code, and critical thinking are essential. Background checks and drug screens may be required. Other duties may be assigned.
