Technical Writer

The Opportunity:Creates FEMA-compliant assessment documentation, templates, reports, and briefings; supports project reporting and Section 508 compliance.Responsibilities:

• Work Location: Washington, DC (currently hybrid)Draft and maintain system assessment templates, scoring rubrics, interview guides, and data call artifacts.
•             Prepare Draft/Final System Assessment Profiles, dependency/integration matrices, modernization recommendations, and Final Assessment Report.Ensure documentation aligns with FEMA standards, privacy/records requirements, and Section 508 accessibility.
•             Support weekly/biweekly progress reports; coordinate review cycles and incorporate Government comments into final deliverables.Qualifications:Required: Ability to obtain DHS EOD
•             8+ years technical writing in federal IT programsExpertise producing structured deliverables and applying accessibility standardsDesired:
•             Experience with DHS/FEMA documentation templatesBackground as project coordinator or deputy PM-
