Technical Sales Manager / Business Development ManagerA rapidly growing ingredient solutions provider is seeking a Technical Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to drive expansion of its lipid-based powder portfolio across North America.Job DescriptionDrive sales and revenue growth for lipid powder ingredient solutions across North America. Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with food, beverage, and nutrition manufacturers. Build and manage a robust, high-quality sales pipeline aligned with growth objectives. Execute strategic account plans to penetrate and expand key markets. Develop and maintain relationships with R&D, procurement, and commercial stakeholders. Manage and grow existing customer accounts through consultative selling and solution-based approaches. Deliver strong customer engagement across both technical and commercial discussions. Position lipid powder technologies (e.g., encapsulation, stabilisation, functional lipid systems) as differentiated solutions. Collaborate with internal technical teams to support product selection and application development. Provide insights into formulation challenges and deliver tailored ingredient solutions. Collaborate with distribution partners to optimise go-to-market execution. Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics within lipid ingredient categories. Proven success in technical sales or business development within food ingredients, nutraceuticals, or specialty ingredients. Experience operating within or alongside distribution-led sales channels. Strong understanding of lipid systems, emulsions, encapsulation, or powder functionality. Demonstrated ability to close complex, value-based sales opportunities. Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related technical discipline. Experience with functional ingredients such as fats/oils, emulsifiers, or encapsulated actives. Established network across North American ingredient buyers and formulation teams.What's on Offer$130,000 - $150,000 base salary. Annual bonus plan based on company and personal targets.
