Job Description
The Technician Aide supports the delivery of high-quality imaging services by maintaining a clean, safe, and patient-centered environment. This role assists clinical staff with patient flow, room readiness, equipment preparation, and general operational support in a variety of healthcare settings throughout the Valley Health service area. The Technician Aide plays an important role in ensuring an efficient patient experience while supporting efforts to bring preventive and diagnostic healthcare services closer to the communities we serve.
Schedule
- Monday- Thursday 4 x 10 hour day shift (subject to change)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms to ensure readiness for patient care.
- Clean and disinfect patient care areas, equipment, and supplies in accordance with infection prevention and safety standards.
- Assist with patient flow and escort patients as needed.
- Stock examination rooms and clinical work areas with necessary supplies.
- Support technologists and clinical staff with routine operational tasks.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work environment.
- Assist with equipment readiness and quality checks as directed.
- Demonstrate initiative in completing routine duties and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and team members.
- Support Valley Health's mission of expanding access to care across the region.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
- Previous hospital, imaging, or medical office experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Experience working in a patient-facing healthcare environment preferred.
Certifications & Licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) required.
- New hires must obtain and maintain required certification prior to completion of orientation.
- CPR certification must be maintained as required by Valley Health policy.
