Description: Quality Assurance Technician Batavia, IL Payrate 22.00 - 28.00 1st shift: 7am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday Overtime as needed Join a fast-paced manufacturing team serving the foodservice, healthcare, and hygiene industries. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform product testing, inspections, quality audits, failure analysis, and documentation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on testing, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and quality improvement. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and reliable attendance are essential. Essential Functions | Accountabilities | Performance Measures: Perform validation testing on new and existing products. Execute mechanical, electrical, thermal, environmental, cycle-life, and performance testing. Prepare test samples, fixtures, and laboratory equipment. Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections. Inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct PPAP dimensional evaluations where required. Process and investigate returned products and warranty claims to determine root cause, repairability and refurbishment requirements. Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Perform electrical diagnostics using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, and other laboratory test equipment. Operate, maintain, and verify calibration status of laboratory equipment. Prepare detailed laboratory test reports and maintain electronic records. Document inspection results, nonconformances, and engineering observations. Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects. Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams. Required Skills and Qualifications: Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, gauges). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
