The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles according to Tasca Automotive Group's high standards. The role requires a deep understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively. The technician will work closely with other team members to ensure that vehicles are serviced efficiently and that customers are satisfied with the quality of work.

  • Diagnostic Assessment: Perform accurate diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues related to engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other components.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, as well as more complex repairs.
  • Customer Service: Communicate with customers to understand their concerns and provide clear explanations of the necessary repairs and estimated costs.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of services performed and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Quality Control: Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure that all issues have been resolved and the vehicle is functioning properly.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel to deliver high-quality service to customers.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership setting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical training program in automotive technology is preferred.
  • Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
