Exhibit Technician Job Description

Wage: $15-17/hour

Shift: Full time. Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm. May include Saturday and evening shifts.

Summary: Do you enjoy problem solving in a fun, family oriented work place? This position involves maintaining and developing the exhibits around which our awesome guest experience is centered. You will learn something new every day. Join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and development of exhibit components and other projects as assigned.
• Create and execute maintenance schedules and programs for exhibits and exhibitions.
• Organize and execute to completion multiple simultaneous projects, with minimal oversight by prioritizing work and handling interruptions effectively.
• Coordinate physical set-up requirements and service needs.
• Read, execute, and create shop drawings and support material.
• Assist with the unloading, unpacking, installation, dismantling of exhibitions.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values, and Policies.
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills, ability to create and adhere to schedules and meet deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of, and proven ability to execute maintenance, repair, and fabrication of custom items of varying construction.
• Skilled in use of shop and hand tools.
• Ability to work independently as a critical team member.
• Work well with people and possess good communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Pass a background check.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
