Role summary:

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. The Technician performs preventive maintenance, manages refrigerant handling, and supports operational efficiency through effective communication and teamwork. About the team:

The Facility Services team ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems across Walmart locations. They install, inspect, and repair equipment while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The team implements preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Collaborating with management and partners, they coordinate service calls and support critical business needs. Using specialized tools and following established protocols, team members maintain system performance to foster a safe and productive environment that supports Walmart's operational goals and enhances overall customer satisfaction.

What you''ll do:

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels, ensuring compliance with building codes and operational specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Conduct inspections and service activities following OSHA standards and EPA refrigerant handling protocols.
• Lead and mentor field teams, supporting technical procedures and safety practices.
• Manage service calls, coordinate with vendors, and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
• Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments across multiple locations.

What you''ll bring:

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing technical guidance and promoting safety practices.
• Effective communication skills to explain technical issues and coordinate with customers and service providers.
• Competence in using digital tools for scheduling, inventory tracking, and reporting.
• Valid driver's license and capability to operate

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
