The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. The Facility Services HVAC/Refrigeration team ensures Walmart's facilities operate efficiently through expert preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance. The team applies specialized skills in HVAC systems, electrical diagnostics, and equipment upkeep to support business priorities. Collaborating closely with management and service providers, they maintain clear communication and uphold integrity. Focused on continuous skill development, the team fosters a safe, reliable environment aligned with Walmart's mission, enhancing operational excellence and customer satisfaction across all locations.

What you''ll do:

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels, ensuring compliance with building codes.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to optimize system performance and extend equipment life.
• Maintain refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins, adhering to EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
• Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety standards.
• Coordinate service calls, manage workload, and document refrigerant usage and repairs accurately.
• Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.

What you''ll bring:

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration and compliance.
• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring technicians on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and coordinate with customers and service providers.
• Proficient in using digital tools for scheduling, inventory tracking, and reporting.
• Valid driver's license with ability to operate company vehicles safely and maintain vehicle compliance.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
