Description Position Summary This position serves as the mobile maintenance provider to fleet vehicles and assigned customers. Working primarily from a work vehicle this role performs a range of maintenance activities including identifying equipment issues and conducting intermediate preventative maintenance. This role is a proficient technician capable of working independently in the field on most tasks diagnosing issues and recommending solutions.
Position Duties Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Performs routine preventive maintenance and intermediate level corrective repairs on equipment diesel and or gas engines hydraulic systems HVAC systems etc. in the field using proper tools and procedures.
Conducts intermediate level inspections apply root cause analysisFailure Mode and Effect Analysis FMEA and identify recurring faults for management review.
Ensures all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently work orders service reports allocation of time and tracking parts.
Assists with work orders including opening tracking progress and closing them to support efficient and well-documented maintenance operations.
Maintains customer satisfaction ensuring that customer needs and deadlines are met.
Adheres to all safety rules contamination regulations and maintains quality housekeeping in work area.
Supervisory Responsibilities No formal responsibility for supervising others
Position Requirements Required High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience 2 years or more of mechanical experience with on -road fleet vehicles dieselgas engines hydraulic systems HVAC systems etc. Valid Drivers License. Current DOT physical.
Preferred 6 years or more experience servicing on roadfleet vehicles. Class B CDL

Other Requirements of Position Works under limited supervision. Independently determines the approach to take and the methods to use. Interprets policy in terms of objectives. Informs manager of unusual situations with far reaching implications.
Major responsibilities typically require a modest amount of creativity and latitude.
