# Position Summary... # What youll do... Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities equipment or fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines. Inspects, cleaning, and repairing facilities equipment or fixtures. Observes and documents signs of wear and tear. Gathers capital expense information. Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs. Determines replacement needs and documents preventive maintenance activities. Performs major and minor repairs on facilities equipment or fixtures by utilizing multiple craft skills, for example: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment. Inspects, operating, or testing facilities equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues. Dismantles equipment, machines, or facilities to access and remove defective parts. Diagnoses problems utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Utilizes hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment. Provides prompt response to emergency calls and documents repair activities. Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing and providing required written and electronic information, for example: expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs. Conducts price comparison of parts and travel-related costs. Orders parts and replacement equipment and tracks orders. Records purchases and usage. Submits warranty claims. Complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines. Ensures quality work is completed that complies with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensures contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements. Identifies and reports deficiencies. Unloads and stores equipment and transports equipment between facilities. Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools. Determines customer needs and business priorities. Coordinates and executes work assignments. Provides advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved. Models and helps others with how to adapt to change or new challenges. Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
