Requirements

• At least three years of experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing trailer equipment
• Basic mechanical and computer skills
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds
• Welding experience is a plus
• Must provide personal hand tools; large equipment is supplied
• Strong attention to safety and quality
• Dependable attendance and teamwork skills

Job Duties

• Assist with tractor-trailer inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance
• Help replace damaged or worn parts
• Support welding and trailer-rebuilding projects
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop
• Follow DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations
• Help technicians deliver accurate, high-quality repairs

What You Will Do

As a Technician Helper you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.

A Technician Helper provides the technical support necessary to keep equipment, machinery, and facility systems functioning properly. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform repairs safely and efficiently.

The Technician Helper works with a wide range of equipment while applying preventative maintenance practices and sound technical judgment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail help ensure maintenance activities are completed accurately.
