Technician II, Repair Center - Skilled

Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Contract: 12 months
Schedule: Monday Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Overtime: As needed
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Job Summary
We are seeking a Technician II, Repair Center Skilled to support in-house servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of company products at an established repair center. The technician will diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system-related failures, perform repairs and testing, and ensure products meet established quality and performance standards before returning to service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-house servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of company products.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures.
• Perform maintenance, testing, calibration, and verification of repaired products.
• Follow detailed technical procedures, work instructions, and established guidelines.
• Document repairs, testing results, and product issues accurately.
• Prepare reports and documentation to support analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues.
• Communicate with field-based technicians when additional information is needed to diagnose or resolve product failures.
• Select from established solutions when addressing straightforward technical issues.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient repair center environment.
• Perform other related technical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge gained through experience, specialized education, or training.
• Basic understanding of technical work routines, procedures, and repair processes.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, established procedures, and technical guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document work performed.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, hardware, software, or troubleshooting knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to use established procedures to identify and resolve straightforward technical problems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work onsite Monday Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Education & Experience

• Technical training, vocational education, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on training is preferred.
• This position may be suitable for candidates with limited professional experience who have relevant technical education or training.
